Early this year I began to jam with Matt Sonic on drums, casually at first, but as I became more comfortable with singing again, we quickly came up with a repertoire of original material. We needed to find a bass player and soon stumbled upon Elissa Rose who plays guitar and sings for 'The Loveless'. She promptly agreed to play bass with us and we began to rehearse in earnest. By August we had 11 complete original songs.  In late July we decided to go into Birdland Studios, a familiar place where Magic Dirt recorded most of their albums, to record two of our songs; 'Hole in the Night' and 'Wrecking Ball', which are in the fact the first two songs I wrote with River of Snakes. We seemed to gel well on tape and the results where very pleasing and we had a lot of fun.  In late September we played our first two shows which were well received by the punters and as a part of the Heathen Earth Festival have supported Zeni Geva (Japan), Useless Children and Nation Blue.  To celebrate our debut release we are playing at the Tote on Friday November 5th, with special guests Warped, Scul Hazzards and Bitchslap.  To listen to some songs and further bits and pieces visit: www.myspace.com/riverofsnakes  I hope you enjoy the music. cheers, Raul nondisclosed_email@example.com (Adalita X)Tue, 02 Nov 2010 00:13:02 +0000
