Re: Back Catalogue

i bought the heroin 7" about a year and a half ago. interested to know if others have these, i wonder if we can figure out where all 21 are!?

i know of 2 others with them, and have heard of one being destroyed by an ex, so it may only be 20 now.

its been weird watching what stuff pops up on ebay over the years. the early and major label period of the band got their music out to some far flung places!

HA! That Heroin 7" was fight to the bloody end! Glad it went to a good home! Zac and I were also fighting for it!

I don't know if they still have it, but Missing Link in Melbourne had the EU CD for ages. New copies for $30. It was the one last CD I needed and hunted for everywhere. Then just pops up at Missing Link.

Actually, Missing Link have been pretty good with Au Go Go stuff on CD. A few mates of mine have filled some gaps in their collection. They even seem to have Young & Full Of The Devil quite often. At least, they did 12 months ago.

RocksandDirt, it may pay to visit Missing Link's website or give them a call?

Re: Back Catalogue

from memory the final price was only dollars away from my initial, pretty generous bid emoticon

i unsuccessfully bid stupid amounts on YAFOTD vinyl over the years and then eventually a friend found one in brunswick st dixons for me for $36. ha!

sparrow 98 was another one that took me a while to find, i got it for $50 and was pretty happy to get it for that. turned out i had bought it off a friend of a friend who put a note in apologising i paid so much for it! i hope sparrow 98 and the influence are released again so everyone can get it, i love that period of the band, its all so powerful, intense and noisy!

missing link often do have great dirt stuff. sealed friends in danger vinyl nearly always available. they've definitely got a tap to the old augogo stuff too. the dudes that work the counter are very friendly and helpful and their prices are great, so if you are looking for something i'd get in contact.

job lots of the i was cruel 10" have popped up at various record stores around melbourne in the last few years, poster included still.

Hey guys, sorry I've been out of touch for the last while - I've just been on a trip down to Tassie for Falls. Was not disappointed!

Thanks to your help, I've had a sudden influx... I've managed to get the EU Self Titled, Friends in Danger CD, Tough Love Triple j Edition, and Signs of Satanic Youth Vinyl... Not to mention the odd piece of memorabilia. I'm filling in the gaps quite nicely!

I'll definitely check out Missing Link. I'm very keen to get a hold of YAFOTD. Thanks fetid and coedycakes especially - you've definitely pointed me in the right direction. And steveplusone - congrats on the heroin 7"!

there was also the edition of tough love which came with a bonus dvd, with a fantastic recording/tour film and the channel v live performance from 2001 (which is amazing). well worth tracking down.

that thing has become the holy grail of my dirt collection. i STILL haven't managed to get it. zac found his a few years ago from some website, i think it was just some guy's online record store. and i think he only paid about $60 for it. last time i saw it one ebay it went for $150.

one day....

rockstars vinyl i was lucky with. a friend of mine GAVE it to me a year or so after it come out cos she hated the album so much. so i owe her no small debt for that one.

Hey guys - this is probably (unfortunately!) just about to head out of my price range, but on the off chance you're on here in the next hour or so, here is YAFOTD on ebay... Good luck, and happy bidding!
