Re: MAGIC DIRT PAY TRIBUTE TO DEAN WITH NEW EP & SHOWS

Well Had a Fantastic night last night made the trip down from QlD to see the guys at the Annadale with another big MD fan my good mate Devil.I found this show a bit emotional but it was brillant all the guys were really happy and Dean would have been stocked it was a full house lotsa old school MD fans were there too cant remember eerysong in order but they Started with one of my all time Fav Md songs babycakes (with awesome 5 mins feedback at the start) and ended with The cover of I wanna be your Dog...Highlights were Tee Vee when the whole crowd practically sang everyword to it..Sparrow...Redhead..Snowhite was awesome and they played Drunk For you which Adalita said was Deans Favourite song and its very good live too..Fairy Park has always been a long time fav of mine and Ive been lucky to see Dean play this a few times too Raul Did a great job of this. I loved how Adalita had Dean s fav drink and candles and did a litte speech for him it was just awesome. I Know why i always love this band.
Thanks Guys for such a great night.

agree with maria, it was an amazing night. i think, no i'm sure, it was the best live show EVER. at times emotional, but mostly just really loud and joyful. teevee was a standout with the crowd singing pretty much every word, and it seemed to move adalita as well. sparrow was fantastic, actually it all was.
all in all a spectacular tribute to Dean.
it was an honour to be part of it. thanks guys.

yeah, I also made the trip from Queensland to the Annandale.. ..one of the most fantastic shows I've ever witnessed. Dean would've been stoked.

Nice photos, Suz.

I've only been to Manly Fishos (stupidly hard to get to for me) once before, for a Dirt gig, where I remember Dean taking pity on me and coming over for a chat at the table where I was sitting on my own. He stuck around for ages talking Nick Cave with me. Very strange to be there again for a Tribute To Dean gig, sitting at the same table.
