That was one of my favourite things about Dean.

I really can't tell you guys how sorry I am.

Re: Dean has passed away?

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Dean, I've been a Magic Dirt fan since I was 15 (now 28), I never miss a Sydney show and my partner and I would always stand in front of Dean at the shows too.

He will be missed.

I just noticed this on the Annandale Hotel website, i'm a bit confused, is the tribute on Friday night or coming?

Sad news. Fuzz in Peace.
Will miss you on stage rockin it, the left arm outstrentched pointing to the crowd from one side to the other. Will miss the post show chats.
Sad a beautiful life cut short, but oh so happy of the experience you bestowed.
Condolences to the MD family.

Memorial message is now posted on the main 'dirt page.

Also, funeral details:

http://www.nelsonbros.com.au/funeral-info.asp?k=75952CCCCB9D41F5A51EB1DDF9F26875

...Private cremation is mentioned. But they're seeking donations to the Charlie and Evie Turner Trust, if that's your bag, instead of flowers.

I knew Dean very well when we were younger. He was a good at BMX racing, very keen on trailbike riding then he was a good skater, then a very good bassist in his band. I use to run into him every now and then at Magic Dirt gigs. He was always friendly. I have not seen him for a while, but was a great shock to see he had passed away in our local newspaper. Miss you Dean.
